Cowichan Lake and River status update Trend updates as of June 29, 2015

Lake level down 43 cm(44%/17” used) / 56% remains

River Flow Holding at 5.5 cms since June 11

Coming 2 weeks – not much rain expected

As of June 29, river flow of 4.5 cms is recommended and asap given likelihood of long dry summer – next steps: Update from investigation into Spring/Summer run Chinook? What is needed to secure support for a reduction in river flow from current 5.5 cms down to recommended 4.5 cms? River flow reductions down to 4.5 cms also requires approval from Water Manager
