Role of an Aunty Educate, care and support adolescents. To orientate sexually active youths towards the adoption of less risky sexual behaviour.

Behaviour to promote Abstinence Correct and systematic use of condom To be well informed so as to better inform.

Advantages of abstinence Good state of health. Avoid early pregnancies. protect against HIV/AIDS and STIs.

Qualities of a good aunty Ability to listen and dialogue. Be softspoken,speak politely in order to build confidence. Be simple and humble( accept errors and know your limits). Be gentle, smile,be sympathetic and sociable to sentitise. Have empathy; (put your self in the place of others). Respect confidenciality. Have self confidence. Be able to guide and understand without judging. Be a model in character so as to better convince.
