The endocrine system is made up of glands that produce hormones and release them into the blood. The hormones cause certain reactions to occur in specific.

The Endocrine System The Endocrine System – The hormone system – the body’s chemical messenger system. Including the endocrine glands: Pituitary Thyroid.
Main Function: It releases hormones into the blood to signal other cells to behave in certain ways. It is a slow but widespread form of communication.

Endocrine System Notes Function and Organs

Endocrine Activity You will each get a puzzle piece. Do not look at it. Scatter across the room. Receptors= Stay still Hormones= Find your partner! When you find your partner, act out the sentence:)

What are the functions? #1: Regulates all body systems by chemicals called hormones.

What are the functions? #2: Releases hormones into the bloodstream to travel to specific organs and tissues.

What are the functions? #3: Hormones cause the body to react in certain ways.

THINK PAIR SHARE STATE THE 3 FUNCTIONS OF THE CIRCULATORY SYSTEM FUNCTIONS. EACH PERSON NEEDS TO STATE THE FUNCTIONS.

What are the organs? #1: Glands Glands release hormones into the circulatory system to be delivered to certain cells.

THINK PAIR SHARE DISCUSS WITH YOUR PARTNER. YOUR PITUITARY GLAND RELEASES GROWTH HORMONE. WHAT WOULD HAPPEN IF YOUR GROWTH HORMONE CONTINUALLY RELEASED THIS HORMONE?

Processing Questions: WRITE THE QUESTION. Why does the Endocrine system need to work with the Circulatory system?
