HOW TO REPAIR BIG APPLIANCES IN YOUR HOME There are big appliances, such as the refrigerator, dryer and dishwasher, that might need repaired at some point in your house. There are many reasons that these appliances might need repair. For example, you could have a faulty wire on one of these appliances, or you could also have a fuse which has blown in one of the plugs, and it needs replacing. Or, there could be another reason why your appliance stops working or stops working properly, which sees you needing your appliance repaired. You can either get a professional in to help fix your appliance, or you can fix your appliance yourself. Here we are going to look at how you can fix these appliances by yourself. Starting with the refrigerator:

FIXING YOUR REFRIGERATOR Fixing your refrigerator will depend on what problem your refrigerator has. If your refrigerator just stops working, then try and change the plugs fuse. This might help fix the problem and is something which is really easy to do. If your refrigerator light goes off, then it doesn't mean that your fridge is broken. All that is needed is a simple change of bulb and that will help solve your issue. There might be other ways that your fridge is needing repair, however. This will depend upon what your fridges problem is.

HERE ARE SOME COMMON PROBLEMS AND HOW YOU CAN FIX THEM: 1) Noisy fridge This is one of the most common problems for people who want to fix their refrigerator. If you have a noisy fridge, then more than likely, it's your fan which is making the noise. All you have to do is fix the fan, to fix the problem. 2) Ice machine problems If your ice machine stops working, or you are having problems with it, then it could be something as simple as having to clean it out. If the ice machine gets clogged or dirty, then either it will stop working properly, or stop working completely. A simple clean inside the ice maker and the pipes will help you to solve this problem. It's an easy problem to solve. 3) When your fridge leaks This can be another common reason why your fridge needs repaired. Your fridge leaking could be happening because your fridge and freezer temperature is too high. Or, it could be that you've just accidentally switched it off and therefore, you will need to put the fridge and freezer back on again. If you do this though, you can't refreeze the food.

REPAIRING YOUR DRYER AND DISHWASHER Some of the above points that we have lined out for the fridge, could be applied to fixing your dryer and dishwasher too. For example, changing the dryer and dishwashers fuse, or cleaning them out and cleaning their pipes. These can be easily done and might be why you are experiencing problems with your appliances. For a dryer, you might have to change the circuit breakers if it is still not working. Make sure to unplug your dryer before you do this! If your dishwasher is leaking, then you can buy a dishwasher leakage kit and replace your dishwasher at home easily.

HOW TO REPAIR YOUR STOVE OR MICROWAVE One of the most common appliances that need to be repaired in the home, is the stove. Stoves have a limited time, before they need some sort of repair. Usually, that repair comes down to them needing a new spark. The spark of a stove can suddenly stop working, which means that it needs to be repaired. With repairing your stove, it is best to let a professional deal with it and repair it. This is because stoves can be dangerous - you are dealing with gas, and therefore, isn't something that you should mess about with yourself! Getting someone who knows what they are doing, is the best way to solve this appliances problem.

HOW TO FIX A MICROWAVE? On the other hand, fixing a microwave appliance can be easily done from home. It will also depend upon why your microwave has suddenly stopped working. For example, it could be something which is easy to fix, such as repairing a microwaves fuse. To repair a microwaves fuse, make sure it's unplugged and switched off. Then you should open the plug and take out the old fuse, replace that old fuse with a new one, and your microwave should work. However, there could be another reason why your microwave needs repair. Here are some other ways you can fix your microwave.

FIXING THE FAN 1) If your fan stops working, then you will need to replace the filter. 2) Fixing a loud microwave If your microwave is making too much noise, then it might mean something needs to be repaired. This could mean the fan, the turn tray or the magnetron. Just changing these could help resolve your problem. 3) Touchscreen not working Check your settings and look in your instructions on how to reset and repair the touchscreen. You could have reset or set the touchscreen to a new setting by accident, this can be easily repaired with the instructions. Your microwave is one of the easiest appliances that can be repaired in the home. Usually, something has just stopped working or is not working properly. Whereas, if your stove is not working properly, you should have a professional come in and look at it, just to be on the safe side!

WHAT IS APPLIANCE REPAIR? Appliance repair is a part of home life. More than likely, the appliances within your home will need appliance repair at some point. In other words, the everyday items within your home will need to be repaired. Repairs on everyday products within your home, can happen for a number of reasons. Before we get to why repairs are needed, let's look at what appliances are. Your home appliances can include things like refrigerators, dishwashers and microwaves. These appliances might end up not working, or not working properly one day. Therefore, they will need appliance repair. Sometimes people will throw out products like these because these products stop working. However, throwing out products because they stop working isn't essential. Sometimes all that is needed, is a repair. Repairing the appliances will help save you money, instead of buying a new appliance. This is because it is more costly to buy another product. Whereas, it is cheaper to invest in getting your product repaired. And, repairing your appliance will also make it will just work as good as new.

TWO WAYS OF APPLIANCE REPAIRS There are two ways that you can get your appliance repaired. The first ways of repairing your appliances if and when they break down is to get them repaired by a professional. There are some products that you will need to get repaired by a professional, such as washing machines and dishwashers, as these products are too big for you to repair them yourself. However, there is another way that you can repair appliances. That other way is repairing appliances by yourself. Repairing your appliances by yourself will help you to save money. However, it is a method that you should be careful of. If your appliance has sparked or blown a fuse, then you shouldn't repair that appliance yourself - you should get a professional to repair it. If, however, your appliance has just suddenly stopped working, then there might be a simple and easy home solution to this problem. One that you can easily fix from home, with little money. That method is checking the fuse in your appliance's plug. Say you have a microwave that just suddenly stops working; try opening up the plug (when all of the electricity is switched off) and replace the old fuse, with a new fuse. Just changing the fuse might make your appliances work. As sometimes, when your appliance stops working, it's simply just the fuse that's given up. Therefore, a new fuse is needed for the appliance to work again.

WHAT IF I CAN'T REPAIR THE APPLIANCE BY MYSELF? If you can't repair the appliance by yourself, then you should look for a professional to repair it for you. Here is a tip on finding the right professional to fix your appliance: don't jump right in and use the first professional you see. Instead, take some time and look at a few professionals in your area. That way, you can see where you can get the best deal for fixing your appliance. Repairing an appliance is easy and shouldn't take too long. Usually, a professional will repair your appliance within the hour (that's if your appliance can be repaired)
