About Math 7 In Math 7, we use exploration and discussion in order to solve real world problems.

Grading: Weight towards quarterly grade 35% Homework (10%)   Formative assessments for “practice” Summative assessments to show mastery Weight towards quarterly grade 35% Homework (10%) Classwork (15%) Mathercise (10%) 65%% Tests (35%) Quizzes (30%) Quizzes: Quizzes will be given regularly in order to assess the understanding of the content and guide further instruction. Tests: Cumulative tests will be given periodically. If students are absent they will take the assessment upon their return. Homework: Homework’s primary role will be to practice what was taught in class and will be assigned daily. Students are expected to spend approximately 20 minutes a night on homework, and it will be graded based on completion. Late homework will be accepted at the teacher’s discretion.   IB:  This may include checkpoints during IB projects and can also be factored into the test category as well.

Expectations Be prepared for class! Bring your homework, pencil, and calculator. (Calculators can be purchased for $8.) Respect yourself, your school, and others. Take risks and TRY YOUR BEST. There is no “FAIL.” There is only the First Attempt In Learning!

Thank you! Please contact us if you have any questions!
