Geographical Location The Maidu tribe is located in the northern part of California. They lived near the Sierra Nevada mountains. The climate was cool in the winters and warm summers.
Food The Maidu ate eels, insects, deer, rabbits, and fish. They gathered berries, spices, and acorns.
Shelter Their homes were made of hay and stray. They were covered in bark. Some were dome shaped and some were triangular shaped.
Culture The Maidu made grass shoes to protect them from the snow. They made tightly woven baskets to store water and food. They drew on stones in nature.
