USAGE OF PRESENT SIMPLE 1) To talk about habits and actions which happen repeatedly or on a regular basis Students have lectures every day. He plays football three times a week. 2) To talk about something that is true in the present You are twenty years old. He lives in London. I am a teacher. 3) To express general truths or facts which are always true The water boils at 100 degrees. 4) To express fixed arrangements, present or future. The lecture starts at 4pm. .

TIME EXPRESSIONS FREQUENCY ADVERBS: ALWAYS, OFTEN, GENERALLY, USUALLY, NORMALLY, SOMETIMES, NEVER, SELDOM, RARELY. I usually learn in the evening. I seldom eat breakfast.

OTHER TIME EXPRESSIONS: EVERY DAY, EVERY MONTH, EVERY YEAR, ON SUNDAYS, AT THE WEEKENDS, ONCE A MONTH, TWICE A YEAR ... Many students go out at the weekends. Once a year we travel to Austria. I go on holiday every year.
