After we finish, illustrate your symbol symbolically or literally. You must: Include the symbol and its meaning Include 3-5 quotations about the symbol Use color Fill up a whole sheet of 8 ½” by 11” paper (NOT lined paper) Put some effort into this! Daisy’s Voice = wealth, social status, and glamour Daisy has a “low, thrilling voice. It was the kind of voice that the ear follows up and down, as if each speech is an arrangement of notes that will never be played again” (9). “A whispered ‘Listen’” (9).
