Organic EQIP The Environmental Quality Incentives Program for Organic Production The 2010 Organic EQIP signup is a nationwide special initiative to provide financial assistance to National Organic Program (NOP) certified organic producers as well as producers in the process of transitioning to organic production. Eligible producers can apply for assistance to help offset the costs of adopting practices to improve resource conservation on organic operations.

Data collected would include yield evaluations, % Nitrogen content, over winter characteristics, etc. 2)Inter-seeding of legumes into corn. 3) 3)Implementation and establishment of herbaceous /woody plantings for pollinators and beneficial wasps and fly species. 4)Implementation and demonstration of Strip-till techniques in dry bean production. 5)Specific approaches (pilot project) for transition to organic production i.e. potato and other specialty crops. 6)Nutrient cycling/mineralization under various cover crops to improve organic systems CIG

United States Department of Agriculture Natural Resources Conservation Service Helping People Help the Land. 7)Water Quality trading - use of established ID framework for actual on- the-ground trading program (should not include development of framework or credit "values" - this should already be established). 8)Use of producer-friendly Irrigation Water Management software along with monitoring systems to improve efficient water use. 9)Adaptation of forest inventory and analysis technology in order to aid in resource assessment, planning and conservation application for forest landowners. 10)Field tool for determination of aerial toxins and ammonia from CAFOs CIG
