Breakdown of patients by race Pre-existing Conditions
The patients have been broken down into 6 age-group categories: 0-30 days 1-5 months 6-11 months 1-5 years 6-12 years 13-15 years Of the patients age 0-30 DAYS: 1– Premature birth / 26 week gestation Of the patients age 1-5 MONTHS: 1 – Premie 1 – Premie with Chromosome 9 depletion syndrome and congenital heart disease, arrest after feeding 2 - No conditions or events Of the patients age 6-11 MONTHS: 1- No conditions or events Of the patients age 1-5 YEARS: 1- Respiratory issues 1– MVC victim, survived 3 – Drowning victims / 1 of the victims was autistic 1 – Fever and vomiting 1 - Hypoplastic left heart syndrome, heart transplant 2015, with acute rejection of heart transplant with SOB and vomiting prior to arrest 1 – Gene mutation, CP, OSA, kidney disease, Fanconi-like syndrome with URI prior to arrest Of the patients age 6-12 YEARS: 1 - Spinal muscular atrophy Type 1, tracheostomy and ventilator dependent with ventilator malfunction 1 - Autistic, ADHD, c/o not feeling well, witness VF CPA with ROSC, survived 1 – Vomiting prior to arrest 1 - Developmental delay, pectius carinatum, congenital hip dislocation with URI, sleeping with parents 1 – No known pre-existing conditions, ME- cause of death: Aortic dissection with multiple congenital cardiac anomalies Of the patients age 13-15 YEARS: 1 - Hypoxic encephalopathy, Cerebral palsy, G-tube with recent URI found with hypoglycemia and remained hypoglycemic after several doses of dextrose 1 – Seizure with no history of seizure 1 – Down’s Syndrome with choking 1 – Nausea, vomiting and diarrhea Of the 4 patients who initially survived, 2 survived to discharge from hospital CPC Scale on discharge: Patient: 2 year old s/p MVC, traumatic Asystole CPA was discharged to a skilled nursing facility with a CPC score of 5. Patient: 12 year old s/p VF CPA was treated for myocarditis and discharged home with a CPC score of 1.
