Thesis: Schools should not be opened all-year round, and that students should have a 2-month summer vacation. Contrary to the well-accepted belief, year-round schooling has no constructive impact on education. Due to that, many schools that change to year-round schedules end up switching back. For example, since 1980, 95 percent of schools that tried the year-round schedule changed back to a traditional calendar (EducationToday.com). It is obvious that changing to year-round schooling does not help students, and it does not improve academic achievement or learning. It could save the system money, so that that the government can put it towards better books and facilities.

First, there are a significant number of problem gamblers in Canada. Second, there is a connection between gambling and suicide.
