Compare up to 5 stocks side by side with the goal of selecting the best. The SCG is divided into 5 sections – logically grouping various quality and valuation metrics. Apply your judgment to select the “best” from each line. Many times the stock with the most selections is the “winner.”

Typical Process Flow Create an SSG 1. Create the SCG Make SSG judgments Save the SSG 1. Create the SCG 2. Save the SCG

Data for the Comparison Comes from Your Completed SSGs The SSGs, complete with your judgments, generate the data on the SCG. Be sure your SSGs are current. Update for the most recent quarterly data and prices. Review your judgments to make sure they are still reasonable and valid.

Basic Comparison Usage The SCG works best when comparing stocks in the same or similar industry. Prepare all the SSGs for the comparison in a similar manner. Don’t compare a very aggressive SSG with a conservatively prepared SSG. This can be an issue in clubs when the SSGs are completed by several different people.

Comparison Strategies Basic/Best Usage - Compare companies in the same industry – highlighting positive numbers – to select the best. Helpful Filter – Add companies in the same industry or sector directly to the SCG (without completing judgments) to narrow down an industry list for further study. Contrarian - Compare companies in the same industry or sector – highlight negative factors to find companies to remove.

Tonight’s Companies and Judgments TYL, EGOV, MANH, ANSS, NICE judgment/forecast points are quick, sample numbers determined by staff. In order to do a Stock Comparison Guide, we should have a few companies in mind and we need some Stock Selection Guide studies (some SSG’s) that we’ve already completed on those companies. In order to fully demonstrate the comparison guide, I have gone ahead and finished some studies. The judgment points in those studies are simply those that I chose after doing what I call a ‘quick and dirty’ SSG. Consider them samples or demos only. These companies are all small companies from the Technology Sector and the Application Software industry. TYL- provides IT solutions and services in areas of operations for cities, counties, schools and other local government entities. EGOV – provides IT solutions and services, which helps government use the Internet to reduce internal costs, increase efficiencies and provides services to businesses and citizens. MANH – develops, sells, deploys, services and maintains software solutions designed to manage supply chains, inventory and omni-channel operations for retailers, wholesalers, manufacturers, logistics providers and other organizations. ANSS - develops and markets engineering software and services used by engineers, designers, researchers and students across a broad spectrum of industries and academia, including aerospace, automotive, manufacturing, electronics, and biomedical.NICE - NICE – provides enterprise level software solutions that collect data from web and internal interaction and operationalize that data to help companies optimize in the following areas of Customer Interactions and Financial Crime & Compliance business. TYL EGOV MANH ANSS NICE Sales Forecast 16.0 7.6 10.0 7.3 Earnings Forecast 14.7 7.2 High PE Forecast 47.0 31.0 40.0 34.0 Low PE Forecast 37.0 21.0 27.0 22.0 Low Price Forecast 66.2 13.4 37.8 74.5 51.9 Payout Forecast 0.0
