Objectives: Students are expected to: Use the present perfect simple correctly and the present perfect continuous correctly.

Present Perfect Simple

Form Use keywords She has recently cleaned the house. past participle Helping verb (has/have) + past participle describes an action that has finished before the time of speaking. describes an action that has results at the time of speaking. Use keywords Just – already- recently – yet – ever – never- so far – since - for

We usually add (not) to the helping verb (has/ have) Negative Form We usually add (not) to the helping verb (has/ have) Eg. I have not (haven’t) finished my homework yet.
