BY Tom Streeter & Ryan Hutton SOLMS MEANING BY Tom Streeter & Ryan Hutton

Freud may have not been to far off. Freud’s ideas are being reconsidered for the reason “what makes us tick.” Freud main theories dealt with the ID, EGO, and Super EGO. Other ideas of Freud’s like dreams have meaning and how the mind works.

Mark Solms His dream theory was discarded when Rapid eye movement was discovered in the 1950’s. He lost all credibility when investigators in the 1970’s showed that the dream cycle was regulated by pervasive brain chemicals.

Mark Solms REM occurred automatically and was driven by brain chemicals and structures that had nothing to do with emotions or motivation.

Mark Solms Solms hypothesis is that if you make certain cuts in the deep frontal lobe dreaming will stop.
