Beef Board Budgeting Process Beef Promotion Operating Committee: Receives and reviews budgets and projections for program expenditures from Joint Budget Committee Makes budget recommendations to full Beef Board for evaluation and program components – promotion, research, consumer information, industry information, foreign marketing and producer communications

Beef Board Budgeting Process Full Beef Board votes on budget recommendation from Operating Committee at summer conference After approval of specific ARs and Work Plans in September of each year, Operating Committee recommends a budget amendment, as necessary. Full Beef Board votes on budget amendments recommended by OC, as necessary Beef Board cannot change budget, but is a check-and-balance on Operating Committee and does have the right to reject a budget recommendation from the Operating Committee – but not to amend it.
