Now what? Do you want EDS to: Replace your catalog on your website? Sit next to your catalog? Be your main tool for searching? Be one of many tools?

Customization - Placards and Widgets The problem with widgets Placard
Placard Options The result The code
Customization: Custom catalogs Still a work in progress, but custom catalogs can be used to include: Films on Demand/other media Ebook collections Institutional repositories? Kristy’s note - if you choose not to have custom catalogs in EDS, you can add those records into your own Aleph catalog (batch upload or contact OLIS for assistance). In New Paltz, we chose to continue importing ebrary ebooks records every month (using the MARC loader instructions given by Maggie Horn of OLIS). Update - I talked to Maggie at SUNYLA last week, she recommends that we upload the ebooks and FOD onto EDS as custom catalogs.
Impact of EDS Usage statistics - too soon to tell for sure, but it’s a mix Faculty say they like it Students say they like it Librarians - not really fans
Managing Expectations What EDS does What EDS doesn’t do Why that’s ok
