ALL SOULS‘dAy

WHAT IS ALL SOULS‘ DAY All Souls' Day is a day that is dedicated to the dead. It is celebrated on a Sunday, usually 2ndNovember, in countries with Christian faith. During this day people visit cemeteries to lay flowers and light candles at the graves of their relatives and loved ones.

Flowers are symbols of our living memory of people who were loved. All SOULS‘ DAY Flowers are symbols of our living memory of people who were loved. Lighted candles likewise signify that the love, hope and joy we shared with people who died should be kept forever burning.

ALL SOULS‘ DAY That night people place candles by their houses so the souls of the dead can find their ways to them for a meal with the family. Also people pray for the souls of loved ones so they can enter the gates of heaven.

ALL SOULS‘ DAY TODAY All Souls’ Day is celebrated around the world, but in different forms. In some countries it is celebrated under the name Halloween. In the present time, the Czech celebrate All Souls‘ Day like Halloween. Some people decorate their houses with carved pumpkins and children dress up in scary costumes.
