Supported Living Provider Forum Natalie Denison (Team Manager Complex Team)

Overview for LD and Autism in Essex? Essex support over 4000 adults with Learning disabilities and/or Autism We spend over £200 million each year doing this Our average cost per individual to do this is more that other comparable Local Authorities – currently exploring this Although our average spend per individual is higher than other Local Authorities the outcomes for these adults do not appear to be any better – currently exploring this LD and Autism is one of the 4 Medium Term Areas of focus for ECC We currently support approximately 900 people in tenancy based accommodation

The vision for Essex Support is person centred, progressive and meets agreed outcomes People with a learning disability and Autism are able to live the life they choose with the same choice, rights and responsibilities as other citizens. Less reliance on Residential Care That the support provided is best value for Essex County Council
