Commands When forming the platoon for physical drill, the command from front to rear, count, OFF is given by the platoon commander in order to designate odd and even ranks. Fall in is given for all cadets in the company to form lines in line formation for paces between platoons. At Ease is given from the company commander after he/she reports the company is ready for inspection.

Marching Street parades are organized and directed by a person designated as a grand marshal. The line on which the cadets are to form and along which the are to march in the review area is marked out by the host organization for the review. During al drill movements, the squad leader remains at a distance of 3 paces from the squad. The company is initially formed by the senior office present.

Marching The purpose of the movement MARCHING IN THE OBLIQUE is to shift the line of march to the right or left for a short distance and resume marching in the original direction. The salute held during the playing of the national anthem is held until the last note of the anthem. Most NJROTC companies have 3 platoons. 6
