Summary This document provides the resolutions responding to comments CID#’s 9, 10, 97, 135, 144, 146, 147, 151, 269 on optional low complexity modes.

CID’s #9 and #10 (1) CID Clause Sub clause Page Line Type Comment Suggested Remedy 9 12 12.2.2.5 80 32 T Aren't all modes optional in this amendment? Remove section 12.2.2.5 10 DAMI and OOK are inefficient. Sub-clause 12.2.2.5 provides the description of optional MCS modes: OOK and DAMI. As discussed in previous meetings, OOK/DAMI modes are designed for low complexity and low power consumption. OOK mode can adopt the simplest envelope detection scheme for low complexity, power consumption and cost implementation. DAMI is for high data rate applications, and offers low power consumption and complexity. .. continued ..

CID’s #9 and #10 (2) CID#9 presents no new technical arguments. It is not clear what kind of efficiency CID#10 refers to. Recommended resolution: Reject comments #9 and #10. Slide 5

CID’s #135 and #144 CID Clause Sub clause Page Line Type Comment Suggested Remedy 135 12 12.1.11 65 E in table 100 is not clear what OFDM mode, SC mode, HIS mode, AV mode and OOK mode mean. For example "OOK mode" is not defined anywhere else Table 100 needs more explanation and it should be compatible with the descriptions on the rest of the document. 144 74 T It is not exactly clear what OFDM mode, SC mode, HIS mode, AV mode and OOK mode means in table 99. For example, I do not fine "OOK mode" other than this place This part is newly added this time. Needs more explanation. OOK mode is defined at sub-clause 12.2.2.5 and Annex D2. Recommended resolution: Close the comment. Slide 7

CID’s #146 and 147 Recommended resolution: Reject the comment. Clause Sub clause Page Line Type Comment Suggested Remedy 146 8 70 30 T OOK PHY mode is not necessary as the other SC PHY modes cover its usage cases OOK PHY Option should be removed from the specification. I believe there are other SC PHY modes that are just as inexpensive to build. 147 DAMI PHY mode is not necessary as the other SC PHY modes cover its usage cases DAMI PHY Option should be removed from the specification. These comments are related to implementation issue rather than specification. No new technical argument. OOK mode is designed for handheld device usages, which requiring simplest envelope detection and ultra low power consumption. OOK is the best option for cost and power sensitive handheld devices. DAMI mode is designed for higher data rates and portable applications. Recommended resolution: Reject the comment. Slide 8

CID #151 Mode is defined in Table 11. Recommended resolution: Close. Clause Sub clause Page Line Type Comment Suggested Remedy 151 12.2 12.2.2.5.1 81 Table 112 T PNC capable OOK/DAMI dev can only support 25.3Mbps? Clarification Table 112 requires the CMS mode to be mandatory for PNC capable OOK/DAMI DEV. This doesn’t mean that PNC capable OOK/DAMI DEV can only support the CMS mode. Besides the CMS mode, other SC modes are applicable for PNC capable OOK/DAMI DEV. Mode is defined in Table 11. Recommended resolution: Close. Slide 9

CID #269 CID Clause Sub clause Page Line Type Comment Suggested Remedy 269 12 12.2.2.5 80 32 E Please change the name " low complexity mode", because there is no guarantee of "low complexity" for OOK and DAMI in comparison with phase modulation base PHY mode. Please use other word such as "non-phase modulation PHY mode". Recommended resolution: Change title to “Optional OOK and DAMI PHY Modes” Slide 10
