What I’m looking for… Decoration showing vibrant colour and a resemblance to the original image.

Watch a teacher demonstration on how to decorate you coil tile and pot using the wax resist technique.

Wax Resist Using the wax resist technique, colour the coils of your tile. Think carefully about your colour choices. Now paint black ink over the whole of the tile ensuring you cover the edges as well. Dab off the excess ink, before it dries, with a tissue to reveal the wax beneath more clearly. Now decorate your coil pot in the same way, painting the interior entirely black. 40 minutes 5
