Chapter 2 Weather Factors Section 3 Winds. What causes wind? Wind: The horizontal movement of air from an area of high pressure to an area of lower pressure.
Our Earth is made up of seven continents and four oceans. The continents include North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Africa, Australia, and Antarctica.

Air Circulation. Air-Sea Interface The atmosphere and the ocean act as one independent system. Solar energy causes winds. Atmospheric winds create most.

The winds over Northern and Southern parts of Africa are generally westerly winds accompanied by some jet streams From the analysis, high pressure centers prevails over Northern and central Africa and also over Arabian sea. The upper air wind shows most confluent for eastern Africa which is expected calm weather and diffluent over western Africa which is associated with active weather. For the last two days, a trough system develops from south Indian ocean to Eastern Africa continent.
