Figure Outcome of wound infection in the 3 trials. For each trial, the square corresponds to the observed RR of infection, and the horizontal line defines the 95% CI. An RR of 1, identified by the vertical line in the middle, would reflect an identical infection rate in patients receiving antibiotics and placebo. The size of the square reflects the number of patients enrolled in the respective trial.
