Happy Thursday!!! Get your WRITING comp. book. Yes, your WRITING comp. book. Make sure you have a novel and stickies in case you finish the lesson early. Also, put everything else on the floor.

Writers Notebook “If there's a book you really want to read but it hasn't been written yet, then you must write it.” Toni Morrison

Table of Contents Write “Table of Contents” at the top of the first page. Skip one line. Make “Date, Title, and Page #” columns. Do this to the next page too.

Number all of the Pages I know…blech. Right?

Writing Survey Write out today’s date on the first blue line of page 1. Title this page “Writing Survey” and add it to your Table of Contents. Write an autobiographical piece about you as a writer. Include the following: What’s your earliest memory of being a writer? What kind of writing do you like to do? Why? When is writing hard for you? How is writing important in your life today? What are your goals as a writer this year?

The Rest of the Notebook Should look a little something like this…
