Daily Science Question (DSQ) How were some properties more helpful to you in Identifying the earring sample?

Challenge: Can you design an investigation to identify a mineral?

Vocabulary: No New vocabulary

Design an Investigation You must create an investigation that will help identify whether or not your mineral is Calcite or Quartz Before you actually test anything you must show ms. Fisette your design and get her approval Test and record your data in your lab notebook

Data: Create your own data table!

Analysis: Pg B24 # 1-4 Answer questions 1,2 &4 in your lab notebook Restate the question in your answer and use complete sentences Answer question 3 on the exit ticket and give it to Ms. Fisette Glue it in your lab notebook when she returns it to you.

Summary Write a 3-5 sentence summary in your lab notebook of what you learned in this activity
