Main Challenges to PHE What are the main challenges which are preventing further strengthening and expansion of PHE in your country? PhD programs in PHE; The designation of PHE Institutions; Qualifying more young people and working population (LLL) Promoting pedagogical innovation, teachers training and new technologies applied to teaching-learning process, linked with (applied) research PHE institutions should be one of the engines of the regional development High quality research, with highly skilled HR, adequate facilities and enough financial resources

The Portuguese TeSPs (SCHE) Main Policy Priorities for PHE The Portuguese TeSPs (SCHE) Main characteristics: Created in 2014 to be developed in Polytechnics Access competitions are locally managed by HEI HEI create and manage regional VET networks, with specific vacancies for holders of level 4 coming from the network Practically oriented programs (some with PBL) with 120 ECTS: < 27 ECTS for general and scientific subjects > 63 ECTS for technical subjects 30 ECTS of internship
