Protists

What is a protist? A protist is defined by not belonging to any of the other groups (animals, plants & fungus). They are all eukaryotes.

What are the 3 types of Protists? Animal like protists Plant like protists Fungus like protists

Animal Like Protists Amoeba Like Protists Flagellates Protists Ciliates Spore-forming protists http://www.henry.k12.ga.us/ugm/academic/Team702/liberatore/SAGE%20Website%20for%20Kingdoms/Amie%20and%20Jena/Animal.htm

Paramecium

Plant Like Protists They are producers and consumers. They mostly use photosynthesis, but some eat other protists or absorb nutrients for food. These are considered different from animal like protists because they contain chlorophyll.

Fungus Like Protists Fungus like protists obtain their nutrition by absorbing nutrients from dead or decaying organisms. Slime Molds Water Molds
