Tuesday 9/18: COSI on Wheels Wednesday 9/19: Lynd’s Apple Farm Trip Thursday 9/20: Spelling Test Friday 9/21: School Fundraiser begins! Sign of the Cross Assessment Important Information: In Religion we have been focusing on the prayer The Sign of the Cross (motions and words.) We have practiced this week and will continue to practice the proper way to make the Sign of the Cross next week as well. I will test the children next Friday 9/21. This will be an oral test. The children are to know all of the words, the correct motions and to use their right hand. Please practice with them at home. We will soon start Listen to Reading in Daily 5. In order to participate, your child needs a working pair of ear buds or small, folding headphones; if they do not already have them at school. I posted a picture of their Daily 5 reading spot on Seesaw, check it out! Oral Presentations! The class did a great job on their presentations last week. It was quite obvious that many had practiced! I have posted all their videos on Seesaw. If you haven’t already signed up, please do! I hope you enjoyed them as much as I did. Attached is their presentation grade. Reading Word Lists: Please have them practice reading the words until they can do so with ease. Sign and return the list so we can give your child the next list. Our first fieldtrip is scheduled! On September 19th we are heading to Lynd’s to pick apples. I hope you received the information and permission slip yesterday. Slips are due Monday! We are working on Growing our Minds! Students have learned it is okay to make mistakes as long as you keep on trying!!! Math Homework- please be sure that your child has read and understood the directions. Many papers are being turned in incomplete. For example, not drawing. Spelling Test- We will have our first test next Thursday 9/20. Please find the words on the back of this letter.
