Baylor-NACRA Student Case Writing Competition May 2017 Baylor-NACRA Student Case Writing Competition The Baugh Center for Entrepreneurship & Free Enterprise is offering $2,000 in prize money for the best student-written decision cases related to the intersection of entrepreneurial activity and public policy. Cases must be accompanied by an instructor’s manual and should be submitted to the NACRA annual meeting to be reviewed. A case may be authored by one to four undergraduate or graduate students who are either presently in school or have graduated within the last year. Cases eligible for prize money should include questions for discussion that center on strategy related to policies that influence decision making. Cases and instructor’s manuals should be submitted to the NACRA.net website. Each case submitted should have a faculty sponsor who will guide the students in developing the case according to the format for cases and instructor’s manuals established by NACRA; however, the faculty sponsor must not be involved in the writing of the cases. Contact Dr. Marlene Reed for more information. Marlene_Reed@baylor.edu or visit https://nacra2017.wordpress.com/baylor-nacra-student-case-competition 2017 Paul R. Lawrence Fellowships Announced – Anne Lawrence  The Case Research Foundation is pleased to announce that the Paul R. Lawrence Fellowships, inaugurated in 2015, will be offered for the third year in 2017. The Fellowships are designed for early-career academics who are interested in developing their skills in case teaching, research, and writing. Doctoral students and faculty in their first three years of a tenure-track appointment (or equivalent) are eligible. The fellowships are designed to support travel to, lodging at, and registration fees to attend the NACRA annual meeting in October, 2017. At the meeting, special programming will be provided, offering an intensive introduction to case teaching, research, and writing. The fellows will also be paired with senior mentors and invited to participate in tracks corresponding with their interests. Donations to the Case Research Foundation, which are tax-deductible, support the fellowship program. For more information about the fellowship, application materials, or to make a donation, please go to www.caseresearchfoundation.org or write caseresearchfoundation@gmail.com.
