Today is Friday or Monday (4/19 or 4/22) SENIOR PROJECT/PAPER WRITING LAB – IN CLASS TIME So far, you have completed and should have submitted the following components for the senior paper: Scavenger Hunt Literary Criticisms (25 Quotes) Reading Check (In Class Writing Assignment) Thesis Statement Opening Paragraphs & Three Quotes Your rough draft is due either 4/25 or 4/26. Remember, you MUST bring a printed copy to class on that day. MLA formatting is also required. You must have in text citations and a works cited page, as well.
Observations after grading three sets of the reading checks: Make sure that your papers are not purely PLOT SUMMARIES. The reading check should have also MEAT in it. Remember the objective here is a LITERARY ANALYSIS. You should consider touching on: THEMES in your novel CHARCTERIZATION INTERNAL & EXTERNAL CONFLICTS SYMBOLISM Please Note: this is not a master list, by any means, but they are some of the KEY components of any piece of literature. They are worth noting in your paper in one way or another.
