Update on Room 220 Planning Karen Hogenboom and Jeff Schrader Library Faculty Meeting February 7, 2018

Most recent librarywide status Planning Team report approved in May 2017. Implementation Team charged in early fall. Implementation report due in March Project Plan (description of spaces and relationships among them) Operations Budget Policies (space use, reservations)

Current Use of 220 Surplus furniture, four collaboration tables Two reservable collaboration rooms with collaboration tables and screens (in DIBs) Library events for a campus-wide or public audience (Outlook room reservation)

Work of Implementation Team Continue to solicit feedback Work with advancement to get information to donors Make decisions about space use and develop policies Develop staffing model and operating budget

Timetable* Fundraising and work with architects to develop specific plan (through Fall 2019) Construction (Fall 2019-Summer 2020) Opening! (Fall 2020) *All dates tentative
