People, Places and Environments Properties of solids and liquids Mrs. Lachowicz’s Nov. 1 – Nov. 22: One School, One Book (Read one chapter of “The Chocolate Touch” each night.) Nov 22 Class Harvest Each student will donate an item for our class to have a Harvest Fest. Nov. 23 –24: Thanksgiving Break Dec. 1: Music Program (10:00) Dec. 1: Nov. Book-It Due Nov. 13th Important Dates Social Studies People, Places and Environments Science Properties of solids and liquids English Language Arts Story: Frog Brings Rain and How Chipmunk Got Her Stripes  **Vocabulary: absorb​­ -to soak up or take in change​­ -to become different or make different problem​­- something that needs to be figured out or solved solution​­ -the answer to a problem; an explanation folktale​-­ a story passed down orally among a group of people central idea​­ -the big idea or lesson the author is writing about in a story. **Skill: Sequencing **Phonics/Word Study: Check your child’s folder for his/her Spelling List with the new pattern.
