Swedish PRTR - Diffuse emissions to water Linda Linderholm Madrid November 2015 http://www.smed.se/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/Slutrapport.pdf Naturvårdsverket | Swedish Environmental Protection Agency 2019-01-12
Diffuse emissions to air Diffuse emissions to air for several pollutants are already published on the Swedish PRTR. This data comes from reports to: The Convention on Long-range Transboundary Air Pollution CLRTAP The United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change UNFCCC Example: SOx from transport in Stockholm Area Naturvårdsverket | Swedish Environmental Protection Agency 2019-01-12
Diffuse emissions to water Diffuse emissions to water will be available in December 2015 Emissions to water of metals; - Cadmium, Cupper, Nickel, Lead, Zink and Mercury and nutrients; - Nitrogen and Phosphorous The emissions are divided into six diffuse sources; - Forrest land, agricultural land, other land, stormwater, local on-site WWTP and atmospheric deposition on water and two point sources; - Waste water treatment plants and industry The data makes it possible to compare emissions from diffuse sources and point sources Naturvårdsverket | Swedish Environmental Protection Agency 2019-01-12
Definitions All point sources, even though they fall below PRTR thresholds are regarded as point sources. However, in the report PRTR definitions are used. Naturvårdsverket | Swedish Environmental Protection Agency 2019-01-12
Diffuse emissions to water The data on diffuse emissions to water is official data reported to: - European Environment Agency (EEA) EEA WISE SoE Emissions (Water Information System for Europe, State of the Environment) - HELCOM Baltic Marine Environment Protection Commission HELCOM PLC periodical (Pollution Load Compilation) Reported data is gathered between 2005-2011 so this should be seen as ”a typical year between 2005 and 2011” Diffuse emissions to water are included in other international reports, such as HELCOM PLC periodical (Pollution Load Compilation) and EEA WISE SoE Emissions (Water Information System for Europe, State of the Environment).
