PASTOR/ELDER LED, DEACON SERVED Elders In-reach Elder Not paid Lead Pastor Elder Paid Out-reach Elder Not paid Trustees Committees Deacons Committees Pastoral Staff Congregation (Church-Led) Full Line - Reporting Relationship Volunteer Staff Dash Line - Working Relationship Lead Pastor Elder– Responsible for spiritual leadership of the church and over the pastoral staff In-Reach Elder – Responsible for operations of the church including maintenance, grounds, etc. Out-Reach Elder – Responsible for church outreach, membership, missions, etc. Paid staff (youth, associate, worship, etc) will be selected by the Lead Pastor Elder, endorsed by the other Elders and approved by the church with majority vote. Trustees – Legal representatives of the church. Ensure that the decisions of the congregation are carried out. Deacons – Compassionate ministry of the church
