Learning to Pray

Why Prayer Partners? You (adult/youth) are invited to join this experience of reflecting on prayer as equals growing in our understanding of prayer through conversations. When we articulate or put into words our thoughts about God and prayer we shape our beliefs We need people to walk alongside us and to reflect with us about our faith Prayer isn’t just an individual activity it is also a practice we do in community.

Why Talk about Prayer? We all have ______ about prayer Wonderful experiences Guilt Questions Doubts Longings We all need to be in conversation to express our fears, doubts, ask questions and tell our stories of wonder.

Why Talk about Prayer? We long to be heard, to by known and cared for by God and others. We have a longing for prayer, but unless we prepare our hearts by talking about our experiences and questions with prayer, we will hold back on actively engaging in prayer experiences. This class will begin a conversation about prayer to prepare our hearts to engage in prayer. We need safe spaces to engage in conversation about prayer.
