What do we do? Since 1970s we have specialised in research on the interaction between people and the environment, together with the analysis and appraisal of environmental policies Our aim is to develop our understanding of the relations between people, water and the environment, in order to reduce risks, strengthen resilience and improve policies for current and future generations The core concerns are: how we can make ‘better’ decisions in managing water and how then can those decisions be implemented? (water: catchment to coast) We are interested in range of themes including: vulnerability reduction and capacity building, social learning, governance and decision making
