Our Vision We believe: health and fitness is a crucial part of the learning process a positive learning experience in health and fitness will be a contributing factor in all aspects of life We know: there is a direct link between the level of physical activity and academic learning  

Grading 50% Physical Education 25% Health Curriculum 25% Fitness Day

Injuries *If your student is well enough to be at school we believe that your student is well enough participate in PE. *Parent note is needed if your student cannot participate in the activity. Include date, explain injury/the limitations and specify what the student can do. We ask that the student dress down and do what they can. *A doctor’s note is required after 3 days of parent note. Ask your doctor to be date specific, and describe what the student can and cannot do. For example: can walk, no running.

PE Attire Crew neck tee shirt Athletic shorts/pants Athletic shoes Shoes should: -tie -have arch support -do not need to be new or expensive -extra socks may be needed Sweatshirt and sweatpants are always optional. Students are expected to change from school clothes to their PE attire each activity day.

Fitness Goals Students will jog 20 continuous minutes by end of 1st semester. Students will Fitness Test at least 3 times a year & set goals for improvement. Variety of fitness activities will occur one day each week.

Physical Education Activities can include: Basketball, Volleyball, Soccer, Softball, Football, Archery, Paddleball, Badminton, Lacrosse, Rugby, Mat Games, Tumbling, Weight Training, Frisbee, Tennis, Square Dancing, Cooperative Games, Low Organized Games.
