Mrs. Campbell’s Weekly Newsletter This Week: Reading: Summarizing December 3-7, 2018 hmcampbell@auburnschools.org This Week: Reading: Summarizing This week we will discuss writing a summary. Our spelling focus for this week will be words with r-controlled vowels. We will take a spelling test on Friday. Math: Multiplication In math we will be continuing to work on multiplication, focusing on the properties of multiplication. We will also begin doing fact drills in multiplication to learn our facts. Language/Writing: Sentences This week we will continue learning about the types of sentences. Social Studies: Map Skills In social studies this week we will continue to learn about map skills, focusing on the map key, symbols, map scale, and landforms. Vocabulary: village: a small town in the country lullabies: songs used to help a child fall asleep shuttered: closed procession: a line of people moving forward; parade muttered: to say something in a low, unclear manner brilliant: extremely shiny or bright Homework: Monday: Read 20 minutes. Tuesday: Read 20 minutes. Wednesday: Read 20 minutes. Thursday: Read 20 minutes. Friday: Spelling test today. Read 20 minutes. **Please review and sign planners each night!
