Some Europe History Alexander the Great conquered and spread the culture of Greek. Bubonic Plague/Black Death- Killed millions of people in Europe in mid 1300’s. European exploration- Some explorers were: Bartholomeu Dias, Vaso de Gama, Christopher Columbus Couple of famous people who weren’t liked by many: Adolf Hitler, Napoleon Bonaparte World War 1 and World War 2 greatly affected many areas of Europe. Main goal of the Marshall Plan was to help rebuild Europe after World War 2.

Languages of Europe Many languages are spoken in Europe. Every country a new language spoken (pretty much). Many people are bilingual or multilingual German is the most widely spoken language with about 16% of Europe’s population speaking it. English has the highest percentage in the European Union who speak the language as a native or learned language at 33%. Some other common languages spoken in Europe: Spanish, Italian, French, German, Greek, Swedish (Just to name a few)
