We are learning… Writers: Comparison/Contrast Pieces Narrative Pieces (picture sequences) Genre Study 1st Grade: fairy tales 2nd Grade: realistic fiction 3rd Grade: fables 4th Grade: tall tales 5th Grade: legends

WIDA ACCESS English Language Assessment REQUIRED for all students who speak (or live in homes) with a language other than English REQUIRED until scoring proficient and reading on grade level MUST be given February 6th-March 24th

WIDA ACCESS English Language Assessment Includes four parts: Listening Reading Writing Speaking Online (except for kindergarten and grades 1-3 Writing) Given over 4 days during the school day (kindergarten given in one 45 minute session) Students will not miss lunch, recess, or Specials to take the test
