Receive Things that we have heard and known, that our ancestors have told us. We will not hide them from their children; we will tell to the coming generation the glorious deeds of the Lord, and his might, and the wonders that he has done. From Psalm 78, verses 3 and 4

Engage The aim of Local and Community History Month is to increase awareness of local history, promote history in general to the local community and encourage all members of the community to participate. Activities happen across the UK and include trips, library exhibitions and local lectures. It is a great way for groups to highlight local history and for local people to get involved.

Respond Amen Lord God, we are descended from many generations. Each generation has their story to tell. Help us to learn from each other, to share the good and the bad, so that we may create new communities. Amen
