Photosynthesis Notes

What is an photosynthesis? Photosynthesis is the process that allows plants to use radiant energy from the sun and change it into chemical energy (food)

What are some plant adaptations ? Chloroplast: (FOOD MAKER) Allows plants to make food from the energy from the sun.

What are some plant adaptations? Xylem: (FOOD TRANSPORT) These ‘pipes’ move water and nutrients from the soil all the way to the leaves and top of the plant.

What are some plant adaptations? Bulb: (FOOD STORAGE) An adaptation of certain plants that store extra food and water for the plant.

Processing Questions: WRITE THE QUESTION. Draw what you see Take a look at the celery plant. How do you know that the colored water entered the plants? Explain in your own words what photosynthesis is.
