News Feed Pima Medical Institute Online • News You Can Use Wise Words from an Online Graduate Need a Break? Holiday break is jut around the corner! BSHCS and BSPTA December 21, 2015 – January 3, 2016 APTR, BSRS, BSRT and HCA December 16, 2015 – January 5, 2016 Amanda Severs is a Bachelor of Science in Radiologic Sciences Graduate. Amanda recently graduated at the top of her class with a 4.0 GPA. What made Amanda so successful? She was kind enough to share her keys for success with us. Thank you, Amanda, for taking the time to provide some wise words for current students. “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.” - Nelson Mandela On average, how much time per week did you devote to your studies? The amount of time I would devote to my studies would definitely depend on what was going on both in school and personal life. Having the flexibility of online schooling made it easy to work ahead when needed and help in time management. On average, I'd say I devoted about 15-20 hours per week to my studies, which worked well in my daily routine.      If you could go back in time, to your first set of classes, and give yourself one piece of advice, what would it be?   When you have the opportunity to get ahead, take advantage of it because you never know what curve balls life will throw! What do you think was the key to your success? The key to my success was my drive to achieve and be more. Having the dedication and having a positive attitude towards my future was a key role in making the time to get school work done, getting ahead, and achieving the grades I was proud of.   How has your degree helped you in your career? In my current position, my degree has opened up doors that would not have been there before. It gives me the opportunity to advance in my career into leadership roles, as well as pushes me to want to go back to school and further my education even more.  Trending Now Be sure to check out our new Online Student Center!
