I am a second year teacher here at Joseph S. Stackhouse Elementary school. I graduated from Rowan University with Dual majors in Early Childhood Education and Literacy Studies as well as with the 2 endorsements of Teaching Reading and Teaching Students with Disabilities. I believe in giving each student in my room the tools that they need to succeed in a positive environment where they can feel safe and ready to learn. I love to read, and can often be found with a book in my hand when I am not running, drawing, dancing, or working on new ideas for the classroom. I am looking forward to a great year! Class Dojo App and Website We will be using Class Dojo as a classroom management and communication tool in this classroom. Students can earn points for showing various positive skills we are promoting Students can lose points for skills and behaviors we want to limit A direct and easy way to communicate with me A way for me to post reminders to the entire group on the stories feature Teacher Conferences Teacher Conferences will run November 16 & 17, 20 & 21. Please stop by the library tonight to sign-up for a time. If for some reason none of the times work for you, please reach out to me via email or Dojo. Character Education At Stackhouse, we want our students to not just grow in academics but also in character. We have five character traits, or core values, we will be teaching and excepting our students to demonstrate! Respect Responsibility Integrity Service Perseverance Supplies We are fortunate enough to have most supplies supplied to us at Stackhouse. However, each student will need a pair of ear buds for their iPad! *Donations of tissues, baby wipes, Lysol wipes, paper towels and snacks are always appreciated! 125 Trenton Rd.
