Linear Plot structure Is when the story is in chronological order and does not deviate from that order.

Non-linear plot Non-linear plot lines may appear to be in chronological order, then along the way, characters add foreshadowing or move to a flashback. Authors do this to mimic the way a human mind typically works and provide more entertainment for the reader!
