Purpose Share knowledge on different ways of creating/deploying catalogs and tool palettes on the net work in ADT 2006 What is a tool palette & catalog in ADT 2006? How do you create tool palettes/catalogs on the network? Pros and Cons of each option Discussion/Sharing time!! Agenda

Tool Palette Has a file extension of .atc Link between the tools and the drawing May contain properties or source location (block, style) of the tools

Catalog Has a file extension of .atc Link between the tools and the Content Browser Contains locations of other tool palettes or tools

How Do You Create Tool Palettes on the Network? Pro Con Easier to set it up Hard to carry the tool palette groups with it Option A. Add Support path for the tool palettes in OPTIONS Option B. Create a catalog on the network and share tool palettes through Content Browser Pro Con Tools are Refreshable “buggy” with Tool Images Tool Palettes need to be “pulled” on each workstation
