1. Academic Activities Students attend Academic Seminars/ Lectures based on their academic backgrounds. Range of departments/ schools: School of Engineering School of Social Work/ Public Policy School of Environmental and Biological Science Rutgers Business School School of Arts and Sciences etc.
2. Immersion Activities “Conversation and Comprehension” Based on students’ levels Parallel classes Small class size Supportive learning environment Focus on conversation and comprehension
3. American Cultural Activities Range of Topics: Overview of Famous US Historical Sights Popular Culture in America Hollywood’s America What is American about America? Individualism vs. Communitarianism
4. Day trips Rutgers Farm Rutgers Marine Coastal Laboratory Philadelphia New York City Visit to United Nations Elite College Visits: Princeton NYU Columbia University

Program Fee US $ 4,500 per student Housing All meals Airport Transfers Day Trips Weekend Visits Extracurricular Recreation Activities Not included in Program Fee: Airfare, health insurance, visa application fees, etc.
Housing and Food Housing: In student dorms while at Rutgers In hotels for overnight trips on the weekends Double rooms (2 students per room) Hotel amenities Free bus transfers (Rutgers shuttles, chartered bus on weekends) Food: All meals included Breakfast, lunch, dinner in Student Dining Halls Breakfast in hotels, lunch and dinner at restaurants for overnight trips on the weekends

Application Process and Deadlines 2017 April 28: deadline for student applications to Rutgers China Office (RCO) via Online Application Form (download from https://china.rutgers.edu/ ) May 01 – May 05: RCO sends out confirmation to students/ university via email May 19: students pay full program fee (easier and cheaper to pay in a group) May 22-26: RCO sends invitation letters to students via email, to university via mail After May 26: Once they receive invitation letters, students can apply for visa* *If visa application is unsuccessful, full program fee will be returned
