Almost two in three people lacking access to clean water survive on less than $2 a day, with one in three living on less than $1 a day.

Poverty Facts (United States) More than 30 million children are growing up in poverty. Less than 30% of students in the bottom quarter of incomes enroll in a 4 year school. Among that group – less than 50% graduate. More than one in five children is at risk of hunger. Among African-Americans and Latinos, nearly one in three children is at risk of hunger.
