Written Responses to Literature Students will learing how to write responses to questions where they must provide specific details from the story in their answers. Example Questions: What is the problem in the story and how is it solved. Use a detail from the story to help explain your answer. Identify three text features used in the book. Explain the information you learned from each text feature your cited. How do the character’s actions change what happens in the story. Use a detail from the story to support your answer. Tell what ________ does at the beginning of the story and why he does it. Use two specific details from the story to support your answer. Explain two key ideas in this book. Use a detail from the book to support each key idea.
