Fig. 1 Co-localisation of Nine Mile LPS II with EEA1 (a) and Lamp-1 (b), and co-localisation of Nine Mile LPS I with EEA1 (c) and Lamp-1 (D). BMDM were incubated with 0.5 mg/L of LPS I and LPS II for 1 h at 4°C. After extensive washing with culture media, BMDM were incubated at 37°C for different periods and processed for immunofluorescence. Cells were examined by laser scanning microscopy using a confocal microscope (Leica TCS SP5). Co-localisation analysis of both LPSs with EEA1 or Lamp1 was evaluated using Image J software (NHI, http://rsb.info.nih.gov/ij/index.html) with the plugin JACoP. Co-localisation was scored by examining at least 50 macrophages per experimental condition. The results are given as mean ± SD.
